Three founders. One shared frustration. A tool we built for ourselves and decided to share.

The problem

We know what it feels like to finish a contract and immediately start panicking about the next one.  

We ran a digital agency together: web design and build, ERP, data management. Good work, good clients. But the gap between contracts was brutal. Not because the opportunities weren't out there, but because finding the right ones was a full-time job on top of the actual job.

We'd spend hours across sam.gov, state procurement portals, and every RFP aggregator we could find. Jason would pull a long list. James would filter it through a design and UX lens: is the scope real, is the brief coherent, does this client know what they want? Alex would make the final technical call; is this actually buildable, is the budget realistic, is it worth the effort of a full proposal?

Three people. Multiple hours. And 99% of what we reviewed wasn't appropriate for us.

The build

So we built our own filter.

We started scraping the web ourselves, pulling from federal, state, local, and municipal sources across the US and Canada. We layered in rigorous automated filtering to cut out the noise: wrong category, wrong budget, wrong geography,   already closed. Then we added a final human review; the same three-perspective check we'd always done, now applied to every single listing before it goes live. 

Client success. Design. Technical. If an RFP doesn't pass all three lenses, it doesn't make the list.

What we ended up with was a shortlist of 50–75 genuinely high-quality digital RFPs at any given time. Opportunities we would have actually bid on ourselves. 

Why we're sharing it

We realised pretty quickly that every digital agency we knew had the same problem. The good RFPs exist. They're just buried under thousands of irrelevant ones, and most agencies don't have the time or the tooling to find them consistently. 

BidReady is the solution we always wished existed. A curated, continuously updated list of digital-only RFPs: web, data, BI, digital marketing, filtered by people who've actually written the bids, reviewed the scopes, and felt the sting of a wasted proposal. 

We launched in 2024. We're based across Europe and the US. And we update the list every single day.
